James Newton, a Charleston native, inherited his passion and desire for hospitality at an early age. As a young adult James started working in his family owned restaurant, Fleet Landing, whilst watching his mother climb the ladder in the real estate world. Being inspired by his family's ability to help and serve others, James realized his calling was to help others find their very own home in the Lowcountry.
Charleston is a wonderfully diverse city, and James has been building connections here his entire life. He is passionate about the lowcountry and is eager to share his knowledge with others. After graduating from Porter-Gaud High School in Charleston, he went on to attend college at the University of Colorado studying Hospitality Management. After living states away, James realized how much he missed the southern charm of Charleston and the lowcountry sunsets.
After serving many years in the restaurant industry in Charleston, James decided to take his “people-person” expertise, love of Charleston and the desire to help others and apply those to assisting others in their real estate goals. He is excited to join forces with the Charleston Empire Properties team and ready to serve those in his community. When James is not helping clients move seamlessly through their home buying or selling process, he enjoys time out on the water, exploring the outdoors, and connecting with family and friends along the way.
